Bakuchiol — retinol's calmer cousin.

Bakuchiol is a plant-derived molecule that hits the same skin pathways as retinol — without the sting. In our 12-week double-blind trial, 0.5% bakuchiol matched 0.5% retinol on fine lines while halving the irritation rate. We pair it with niacinamide and PHA so the surface stays calm while the deeper signal does the work.
